Hey there, I’m Johnny Fairchild, founder of Blackwater Land Company.
I’m also proud to serve my community as a firefighter—a career that’s taught me the value of integrity, hard work, and showing up for people when it matters most. Those same values are the foundation of how I serve my real estate clients.
At Blackwater Land Company, I specialize in hunting properties, farms, recreational land, and rural homes across Missouri and Kansas.

Because it’s more than a name. It’s where my story with land and the outdoors started.
The Blackwater River corridor is where I first hunted with my dad. Where I shot my first deer and turkey. Where we worked cows, improved land, cooked lunch over a fire next to the creek, and spent countless hunting trips with Dad and his buddies.
It’s where I had my first deer camp, my first beer, and plenty of pool nights listening to Johnny Cash.
My parents invested in property here and put down roots. Watching them taught me early that land is about more than acreage or what it’s worth.
Eventually, I invested in my first property of my own.
I get to watch my kids make their own memories here. Swimming in the creek with their cousins, fishing the pond, trail riding with family and friends, planting food plots, harvesting crops, and getting the farm ready for deer season.
Soon enough, they’ll shoot their first deer, turkey, and dove here too.
That’s what land means to me. It’s an investment, but it’s also a place to put down roots, raise a family, work with your hands, and create something that can be passed down.
That’s why I believe so much in helping people buy, sell, improve, and invest in land.
And when it came time to name this company, there really wasn’t another choice.
From my first hunt with Dad to watching my kids make those same memories today…
